No matter the weather, once Labor Day passes, we Chicagoans officially go into Fall mode. The city follows suit with some fun happenings around the city to transition us from Summer to Fall and nothing says Fall like football! Today is officially NFL Kickoff day, and we could not be more excited! To hype up the excitement, the Chicago Bears will be hosting their annual Super Bears Shuffle 5K, which is the only Bears official run in the city. Taking place at the home of the Bears, Soldier Field, the fun is free and open to the public. Cheer on the runners and enjoy the festivities with games, food and live music. You may even see one of the Chicago Bears walking around! The festivities begin at 5:30 pm. Get more details here. Catch the first NFL game of the season, where Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots, face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Foxborough. You can catch the game at some of the best sports bars in the city like the appropriately named Bull & Bear or the upscale Theory Bar.
