Here in Chicago, everyone knows we LOVE food. Today is the perfect day for our city because it’s National “I Love Food Day”. For all you foodies out there, visiting Chicago or fresh to the city, we wanted to give a little bit of advice on where to find some delicious local food to celebrate this fine day. First, in addition to it being National “I Love Food Day”, we must also tell you that it’s National Breakfast Month, so we added a few extra tasty breakfast and brunch places to the list so that you can double up on this celebratory taste-bud extravaganza.
1. Avec– small, rustic yet modern little restaurant in the West Loop (more commonly known as Restaurant Row). Everything you order here will be phenomenal, guaranteed. They are open today from 3:30pm-12:00am, but you should also check out their delicious Sunday brunch if you get the chance, from 10:00am-2:00pm. 615 W Randolph
2. Hash House A Go Go– though there are a couple of different locations but this award winning breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant is definitely worth mentioning. The “Twisted Farm Food” is very good, but be warned and go hungry because their portions are huge. Two words: Chicken&Waffles. 1212 N State Pkwy
3. Bottlefork– this restaurant packs a flavorful punch. Gourmet rustic food with a modern twist. Everything you order here is cooked, in some way, with booze, even the dessert, and it’s perfect. 441 N Clark St.
