With Thanksgiving a few days away, and our first snow of the season we got over the weekend, it’s starting to feel like holiday season has hit Chicago! Tomorrow marks another holiday staple for the city with the upcoming 102nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Every year for for the past 101 years, the ceremony has taken place in Daley Plaza. For the first time ever, the lighting of the great city tree with take place in Millennium Park. The City of Chicago really wanted to make Millennium Park a hub of holiday activity this year, with skating, the ice ribbon in adjacent Maggie Daley Park, cold weather treats at Park Grill and visits with Santa. In addition to seeing the magnificent tree light up, there will be performances by the cast of A Charlie Brown Christmas, holiday music courtesy of the Latin Music Ensemble by PRAA, and and special visits with the man in red himself right after the tree lighting led by Mayor Rahm Emmanuel. Keep up-to-date on all the details with the City of Chicago and make sure you book your holiday stay with the Raffaello using our Family Fun holiday deal for deluxe accommodations starting at $169!
